Designing Cumulative Conference Reports

As children grow and develop, encountering new lessons and reaching milestones throughout the school year, you can record ongoing progress by including a Skills Table or Standards Table widget in your Conference Report Template.

In this article you will learn:

  • How to Design Cumulative Skills Tables
  • How to Design Cumulative Standards Tables
  • How to Generate Cumulative Reports

How to Design Cumulative Skills Tables

First, a few notes on using Skills Tables cumulatively:

  1. Cumulative Skills Tables cannot have columns labeled, such as "Consistently", "Developing", etc. because the cumulative columns replace this part of the table with the date range of the report. For that reason, it is useful to include the "Key" widget, found just below "Skills Table", to let parents know the letter and level you plan to use to show progress. You will see this reflected in the example below.
  2. If you do not see the option to make the table cumulative, click the button showing three vertical dots in the bottom right corner of the widget editor to access more options.

To use skills tables cumulatively, modify or create a new Conference Report Template by going to [Admin] > [Design Conference Reports] > drag the "Skills Table" into the report, or click the widget in the report to modify an existing table > check the box for "cumulative" > [Done].

In the above image, there is a blank column that will prevent this widget from saving when clicking [Done]. To remove it, click the [x] to the right. Make sure to [Save] your template when your skills tables are finished.

How to Design Cumulative Standards Tables

Designing cumulative Standards Tables follows a very similar process to the Skills Tables. Go to [Admin] > [Design Conference Reports] > [New] or click to modify an existing template > drag the "Standards Table" into the report, or click the widget in the report to modify an existing table > check the box for "cumulative" > [Done].

Make sure to [Save] your template when you are finished modifying it.

How to Generate Cumulative Reports

Now that you have a template with cumulative tables, admin and teacher users will be able to use it to generate reports for children by going to [Children] > [Conference Reports] > [Generate].

The first time the report is generated, it will have the one column with the date range of that report:

Then, the next time you are preparing your conference reports go to [Children] > [Conference Reports] > [Generate] > select the exact same template as you did last time > enter the children and date range > [Generate].

Now, when you view the newly created report you will see the previous report's column along-side the new column, labeled with the date range of this report:
