Refreshing a Conference Report Template

The Refresh Template tool allows you to apply changes made on Conference Report Template to a conference report that has already been generated. This is great for correcting typos in the template or adding widgets that were originally omitted.

Risks

There are two things that might cause you to lose work while refreshing a conference report template:

1. Changes or deletions made in the template itself.

Example: An admin deletes a "Notes" widget on the conference report template. When you refresh the template, that Note widget, and any text that has been added to it, will be deleted.

2. Data may be overwritten by the template refresh.

Updating the template will require that we refresh the data pulled from the child's profile. This may overwrite information you've changed manually.

Example: A guide may manually change the name of the Report Author or change the proficiency levels in the Standards Table. Upon refreshing the data for a conference report, all of these manual changes will be reset.

Undo Refresh Template

If you refresh the template and you aren't happy with the results, go to the report, click [Edit] > [History] > select the second most recent version > [Restore Version].

You can only restore versions one at a time. For this reason, we recommend refreshing just one template at first to ensure the results are what you expect.
