Creating New Classrooms and Lesson Sets

Creating classrooms is an important part of managing your school's Transparent Classroom account. In this article we will go over:

Creating Classrooms

Anyone with admin access can create a new classroom by going to [Admin] > [School Settings] > [Classrooms] > [New] > add a name for the classroom > select a lesson set > select a classroom type > [Save]. You can also connect a Google Calendar for the classroom, as well as designate a classroom email address here.

Once you have created a classroom you can modify it by clicking on [Edit] next to the classroom name. 

Inactive classrooms will appear at the bottom of your classroom list. 


"But, wait, I can't find the lesson set I need!"

Downloading/Creating New Lesson Sets

If you get to the step above and find that you don't have the correct lesson set that you want to connect to the classroom you are creating, you might need to go download that first. 

Any admin can go to [Admin] > [Lesson Sets] and click [New]. This will ask you to name your new lesson set and to choose one from the dropdown menu to copy. You can copy one of our default lesson sets, or any existing lesson sets already at your school. You can even choose to not copy a lesson set and create a new one from scratch - just select the blank option at the top of the dropdown list. 

Once you've selected the lesson set to copy, simply click [Save].

This lesson set is now available to be attached to your new classroom.
