Using Child Progress Page

You can view a child's progress across the entire lesson set, record and plan, and find records with specific lesson tags all from the individual child's [Progress] page. The progress page is also a great place to access a child's progress from previous classrooms at your school. In this article you will learn:

Record Keeping and Lesson Planning on the Progress page

The fastest way to navigate to a child's progress page is to type their name into the search bar in the upper right corner of the page. This will take you to their profile page where you can find the [Progress] tab on the menu that goes across the top of the page.

To record progress simply click in the circle next to the lesson name. A small menu will pop up where you can select a level of progress or add a flag to plan the lesson.

Remember to click [Save] when you've finished updating your records. When you click [Save] all recorded progress will be updated across all the record keeping pages in Transparent Classroom and all planned lessons will be added to your Lesson Plan.

Finding Records from the Progress Page

One way to find the tagged observations and presentations you have recorded is by clicking on the lesson name from the Progress page. This will take you to the Lesson Reference page where you can find that specific child's records for that lesson under the "Activity" section.

Viewing a Child's Progress from Previous Classrooms

When children transition into the next classroom at your school, their new guide can view their progress from their previous classroom from the Progress page. Since classrooms at different levels have their own lesson sets, a child's previous progress will not be visible from the [Progress & Plan] page. To view this information on the Progress page you can use the drop-down menu in the upper right of the page to select the child's previous lesson set.

Note: In order for previous classrooms to show up on the child's Progress page, they must not be removed from the child's profile.

Printing or Downloading a Child's Progress Page

You can print or download a child's progress page by typing Command-P (Mac) or Control-P (PC).

Note: The Progress page was not designed to be printed. The printed version of the Progress page may not have the same functionality as the online version.
