Customizing Attendance Types

In addition to selection which types of attendance you would like to track, you can also customize the wording and code to match your school's requirements or preferences. While the default attendance types will automatically translate into the user's selected language, any customized types will remain in the language entered.


Enable Attendance Types

To access your school's attendance types, go to [Admin] > [School Settings] (you can also just click on [Admin] to go right to the School Settings page) > [Attendance]. Beneath each classroom type, you will be able to turn on or off each type of attendance. 


Customize Attendance Types

Under this table, click [Customize attendance types] to make your changes. You can set the type as well as the color from this area. Use the trash can icon to remove any types you do not want. Click [Add] at the bottom to add a new type at the bottom of the list. You can rearrange the order of the types by clicking and dragging the "sandwich" lines on the right.

You can also click [Reset] to return to the default Attendance types. Even if you remove or change a type of attendance, past attendance records will show the attendance types as they were entered at the time.
