Accepting Applications
Once a family has submitted an application it will appear on your Applications page in Transparent Classroom. You can use the Applications page to help manage the application process at your school. In this article we will look at:
To view the Applications that have been submitted to your school you can go to [Admin] > [Applications] > click on the document icon to the left of a child's name. From the window that pops up, you can view, edit, print, or delete the Application.
Note: The ages that you see on this page are the age of the child at the beginning of the session to which you have assigned them in the dropdown, not their current age.
Adding a Child to Your Waitlist
You can add a child to your Waitlist by going to [Admin] > [Applications] > changing the drop-down in the "Application State" column to "In Waitlist." You can view and modify your Waitlist by clicking on the [Waitlist] tab.
Making Notes and Keeping Track of Offers
You can use our Notes section to add comments or notes about applicants by clicking on the edit icon.
To help keep track of children as they move through your school's application process, you can change their Application State from [Submitted] to [Offered] or [Rejected]. When you are done processing an application, you can also choose to [Archive] the Application to remove it from the Application list.
You can always find archived Applications by using the drop-down menu on the right side of the Application list which defaults to [Pending].
Accepting Children
When you have invited a child to join your school, make sure that you have selected the appropriate session and classroom and then you can change their Application State to [Accepted] using the drop-down menu. A new window will pop up that will give you the option to create a profile for the child or to create a profile for the child and accounts for the child's parents in Transparent Classroom.
It is important to note that choosing to create a child's profile from their Application will create a new child profile. If the child has already been added to your school this will create an additional profile for them rather than merging the information.
