Assigning Forms to Families

If you choose to use forms in Transparent Classroom, you will need to learn how to assign them to families to be filled out. This article will walk you through:


Assigning Forms to Returning Families

Here are the steps to assign forms for children at your school. In order for these to go home to families, you will need to have already added the parents into the Parent Directory. 

Once you have a form template ready to use, go to [Children] > [Forms] > in the top right corner [Assign forms]. From here, you can assign forms either by typing in children's names or from a list which also shows when the form has been assigned previously.

Once you have selected the children, you are welcome to add a due date and even a reminder to go out automatically some number of days before the due date. Click [Assign New Forms] to send the form to the family.

You can also send reminder emails after the form is assigned by going to [Children] > [Forms] > hover over the child's form and click [More] > [Send reminder].


Assigning Forms to Incoming Families


You can assign forms to children in future sessions!

You simply need to change the session you are looking at when you're on the [Children] > [Forms] page. Use the dropdown in the upper right to select the session, then click [Assign Forms]. This should show you any new children as "Incoming". Then follow the above instructions to assign forms.
